This fee only hits new subscriptions/purchases on patreon, rather than existing ones afaik - but in general, it's a good idea to only make purchases in a browser, rather than any app! This type of fee doesn't only apply to Patreon.

Hey! Don't forget *NOT* to use the iOS Patreon app to buy things or subscribe to memberships because the app store now has a 30% fee which either the creator is covering themselves or is increasing the price on whatever you're buying (patreon emailed me today to tell me I could choose which)
