Your government is trapped by devolution. It's a very laudable ambition to end child poverty, but until the Scottish Parliament and government control all the levers of power, then that ambition is dependent on Westminster and therefore unattainable. Independence is the only way.

We need our independence to do that. I would have thought that would have been the Scottish National party's number one priority. We can't do anything within the confines of the UK - and actual fascism is on the rise... incl. in Scotland. They'll be picking over our bones soon. WAKE UP!

This ⏏️exactly, instead of wasting energy demanding things we will never get, they are focussing on strengthening Scotland ready for independence, as they should. The people are its biggest resource, a healthy, well educated, confident, happy population will be more successful than one that is not.

But 1st Minister Swinney has to ensure that there is a powerful arm in the SNP government with sole aim of securing independence
