Driving it home w/ a quote from OLC opinions: "immunity from prosecution for a sitting President would not preclude such prosecution once the President's term is over or he is otherwise removed from office by resignation or impeachment."

I'm no longer hopeful that these criminals will be punished through the legal system. The entire legal system is time-stretched to deny meaningful justice anymore. And Trump uses the Red M(L)obster system - infinite appeals to his hand- picked Supreme Court.
Will we ever see justice done on an 83-84 year old president and his friends who 1) may never leave office until natural death and 2) is likely in the process of stealing the tangible assets of this country (the people's assets), and 3) will have a nearly completely MAGA dominated Supreme Court?
No sense in driving it home, it’s a short putt: It. Will. Never. Happen. Trump DOJ will move for dismissal with prejudice, Trump will self-pardon if MAGA loses in 2028, or POTUS 48 will pardon if a MAGA candidate. It’s over, done, finished, stick a fork in it.
Yeah, the only thing that can happen is the devil will finally get him. Or he goes after a prolonged painful illness. Since the people who SHOULD be enacting justice against him have failed miserably. Too bad I don’t believe in hell. He can meet his hero hitler.
The point is important because if a prosecution occurs, it would require the statute of limitations to be tolled(ie, stops running). So the argument would be that temporary immunity tolls it.
Trump plans to just roll over the law, Congress, Constitution + anything else in his way. He doesn’t care about the country, he’s selling it off for parts. As Sarah Kenzior said, it’s a “transnational crime syndicate masquerading as a government.” And we let him get away with it. All of it.
And then it will be determined he is too old to face trial or punishment so he gets away with a life of crime it is a joke the entire legal system rigged to protect one criminal not that it matters as we will be under a dictatorship anyway

Gotta let it go.
Irony, justice, and rule of law are officially dead. Jack just drove in the last stake.
