Definitely. If my brain decides to misinterpret something someone I think of as a friend has said or done then it’s just a very horrible feeling that can easily set off depression episodes. If it’s a stranger or acquaintance then it’s kinda whatever. Still feels bad but nowhere near as bad.

The level of pain experienced does scale up exponentially when the rejection comes from people I do, or at least believe I could, relate to. It's hard to describe; it's a mix of "I don't even fit in HERE" and "I'm just being annoying" and "I'm a burden to them".

Fun times. Don't recommend. Aaaaaaaa

The closer I feel I am to the person, the worse the feeling

Legit cried at work the other week because a miscommunication got a friend mad at me for something I didn't even say, but the RSD still tried to convince me it was my fault somehow

Same. I meet other black people and I think they realize I'm nothing like they are, as I was raised in a very white family.
