They're ending their own contact just by saying it and w/o legal grounds. When pressed by media how they're going to continue, a rep said they're not familiar with the laws yet. Media play and manipulation.

That is just not true lol. She raised an internal complaint relating to NewJeans intellectual property because ILLIT’s Magnetic sounded too similar to NJ’s existing sound. Hybe then realized she had considered leaving the company with NJ, but never took any action.

However, they were able to get her private kakao talks and edited them just so to frame her. The court ruled in HER favor saying no action was taken to leave ADOR. HYBE publicized their intent to audit MHJ and ADOR, leading to a huge public fight between HYBE/ADOR, Min Hee Jin, and New Jeans.

MHJ won at the court level (they could not fire her as CEO on the grounds of breach of trust) so they changed HYBE entire board of directors AT ADOR and unilaterally fired her. NEWJeans then held a YouTube live addressing their own concerns with management. Ador ignored several of their complaints.

Including other HYBE subsidiaries defacing the group, releasing personal and private information and videos, and negative media play. ADOR chose to not address this so the group gave them a 14 day notice to address their issues or they would terminate their contract. Two weeks passed and behold…

Mind you, idols are not seen as “workers” they are an equal negotiating party in contracts so NJ has the right to terminate their contract as long as they themselves didn’t breach it. ADOR breached it when they refused to address their concerns relating to the protection of their image and IP.
