I also love how much I learn from reading liner notes! There used to be so much more storytelling around an album/in the packaging we just don’t get w/ streaming.

Yes!!!! Some artists put so much work into crafting an entire experience reading the liner notes. Love my streaming, but spending time with new (or new to me) albums' packaging and liner notes is so rewarding.
Yes for liner notes and sequencing, hated when they changed the sequencing for the 8 track and later often the cassette versions as well. CD's were interesting as they didn't have a "B" side but often artists still paid attention to the order as well. Scratches and limited dynamic range no thanks!
Same. I recently started doing this with mastering engineers too. Cool to notice how much they also influence the music and everyone's distinct styles.
