I got Scarlett on a whim as a Christmas gift thanks to Christmas money and it was surprisingly really good. It reignited my love of the series in large part cause I really loved the cast and the ideas they were implementing in the game.

It's got a lot of interesting stuff going for it. Really makes me excited for the next mainline game. Hopefully it's more polished than this one, though.

That's why I'm glad they decided to push az to late this year instead of forcing a yearly release. Gives me a bit of hope they're not rushing them as much. Cause yeah the overall experience was nice but the performance was spotty.

I’ve seen this sentiment from a lot of people. Very tempted to buy. It’s the only mainline game I didn’t get.

The performance issues aren't TERRIBLE, just bad enough to be a consistent annoyance. The worst-performing places in the game are, as I recall, the bigger cities and Area Zero. Unsure of the DLC, since I haven't played it.

It's a blemish, but it's worth playing regardless.

Word of advice: I've heard the DLC expansion content is pretty excellent, so I'd snag one of the bundles that includes it. That's what I did this time.

I didn't get around to the epilogue dlc, the one the mythical pecha berry is for, but the rest I played was legit amazing. Great interpersonal stories with the cast involved plus some actually tough fights too so there's plenty of challenges included.

That's cool. If I have one complaint about the main game it's that the difficulty curve is a bit too easy for its own good, as you get further into the game.

Oh yeah no doubt though that ended up making less prepared for the endgame of scarlett and violet's base game. The one you get for beating all the main stories. Similar to the gen 2 curve issue.

I do prefer physical typically but I don’t mind much in this case. I’ll look into the DLC bundle. Been looking for more switch games anyway.

Slightly off topic, but this does make me curious if the switch 2 will give us any performance gains.

Same, outside the trash performance, I feel its their best game which makes the lack of effort (performance wise) frustrating. Plus the dlc is actually good
