Funny, just discussed this with someone I respect who suggested once empathy for an adversary is gone, contempt will drive confrontations that can’t be bridged towards ones that are catastrophic. Think this is probably so.

In essence our government no longer has any moral authority. They can impose consequences for breaking the law. In effect, I now refuse to recognize their authority and will game the system to avoid consequences while actively seeking to undermine them.

It's the beginning of a resistance.

I’m concerned about the continuing onslaught of propaganda attempting to divide the rest of us.
There is an ongoing attempt to continue dividing the potential opposition into smaller and smaller groups.
We can not win if we are divided.
