No it is not. You can read the RPCs, so read through them and tell me which one requires a *government* lawyer to resign rather than refuse an illegal order.

Sorry, but I am not aware of an exception to CA Rule 1.16 for government employees. Maybe in other states? It appears to me that these AUSA’s are engaging in “Noisy Withdrawals,” setting the narrative rather than allowing Pam Bondi to publish some lie.
Even if they didn’t risk disciplinary action, by quietly staying, the attorneys would not be able to publicly speak about the unethical orders. By resigning, they are drawing attention to this.
I think our rage should be directed at the ones who comply & the Congress who won’t impeach.
We should protest & harass our elected officials, but this will be a marathon. Let’s not forget that while MLK was leading civil disobedience, Thurgood Marshall & the NAACP were during their thing in the courts. It’s a joint effort.

Time to be LOUD
