After the relief of the July election, I'm beginning to feel politically homeless. I understand there's a need to appeal to the racists (to avoid potential losses in the future to Reform) and I was naive to think change meant positive changes, but I still feel disappointed.

I think that's what the strategy is but I don't think it will even work. You can't out-right wing reform on immigration. The Tories have tried and failed. I don't know why we are. More people will care about cost of living and NHS etc. this if anything is a net vote loser imo.

Lots of people voted Labour to get rid of the tories or assuming they'd be better once elected. We know what we've got now. I'm just not sure that the electorate is ready to make a big shift to Green / LD, both well to the Left of Labour at the moment.

The reality of the parties atm is that Labour's coalition of "Anything but the Tories", progressives, centre right/small-c conservatives and pro immigration, pro EU types who want to reverse Brexit... is *brittle*.

And Reform & Cons *will* do some sort of deal.

So Labour are in trouble.
