Ugh, dunno how old your niece is but I was 17 when I got diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, it sucks but at least is manageable, still kicking nearly 20 years later at this point, hope for the best for her ❤️

Oof, diabetes is at least manageable, but can be scary if it isn't caught and caused an infection. I lost an uncle because they didn't take care of themselves, but not before they lost both legs. Word of advise, if your niece gets a wound and it doesn't appear to be healing, go to the doctor.

I remember when I found out I had it. For a moment it felt like life was over, but I have been able to manage it with diet and exercise alone after the meds got me back down to safe levels, and now I forget I have it most of the time. It sucks, but she'll be okay. ❤️
