Can I get a tldr of what Aspire is? I know I can do some quick searching and all that good stuff, but in the interest of some good ol' interpersonal communication, I thought I'd ask a bit :)

One example: When you take over a project, you would set up your db, cache, etc before you could run the system. If it was an Aspire project, you can just run the solution and it would just work. All the dependencies are all configured.

There’s one more thing: it also comes with a dashboard to monitor your app with Open Telemetry support.

This dashboard can also be used standalone even if your project doesn’t adopt Aspire.

I’ve been playing with it, and am currently developing an in house app with it. Great stuff, would love to see native publish to docker, with greater control over how the compose is generated vs the aspirate community tool. To me, it makes sense to publish local, user test, then publish to cloud

I think the main thing is since it’s specific to docker, setting the restart behavior. For instance, a migrations integration only needs to run once, but the aspirate tool defaults to just restart-always. Obviously it’s an easy edit but it would be nice to pass that, as it only runs once in aspire

It’s still way easier to have it build and publish to my registry all through the tool than doing it manually though, and I know docker isn’t directly supported so some edits after export are expected. Looking forward to seeing it mature

It's very cool. Started using it a few weeks ago.
Are there plans to let the apphost keep running and being able to reload projects to reduce startup time?
I don't need cache, database etc. to restart whenever I make codechanges.
