Far as I know they are retained as watchers but wont show for you if you check your list again. Bluesky either lacks a way to completely cut someone off from watching you or has a scuffed display to work on

I could be wrong but AFAIK they are still following you but neither you nor them can see each other on the following/follower list because of the block function, but technically they are still blocked
At least that is how I understood from my experience, some insider knowledge would help

It doesn't remove them as followers either. It just blocks them from ever seeing or interacting with you and vice versa.
It really bothers me as well as I got like 100-150 bot and fake engagememt accounts following me that I've blocked, inflating my follower count.

No one blocked should be able to interact or see their posts at all.

Try it out for yourself or check out the github page I linked before.
I got 22 followers on my other account, but I can only see 14 of them because I got others blocked. It doesn't even affect the counter.
