Johnny was as perfect as he always imagined, always hoped he would find out. Even through chapped cracked lips and suffocation, it was one of the best moments Ghost thought he had ever had.
Lips became salty with tears, both unaware they were crying. Caring fingers wiped them away from Ghost’s face, and he couldn’t help the shaking of silent sobs between breaths as they kissed.
Eventually, they pulled apart, both drowsy and weak. Soap curled up, head on Ghost’s lap, and Ghost threaded his fingers through Johnny’s hair, slightly combing his fingers through.
“I love you too.” The words came slowly, muddled and exhausted. “And I’ll find you. Wherever we end up, in Heaven or another life, I’ll find you.” A small laugh. “Maybe you’ll confess your love sooner, next time.”
