This morning a Russian corvette and a submarine stalked Finnish tanker JATULI.
JATULI was moving south in international waters, Kattegatt, when she met SKR-531. The corvette turned around, started following and soon thereafter a KILO submarine started driving alongside.

If Soobrazitelny is escorting Mozhaysk, there is a chance that Boijky is meeting up another submarine (Novorossijsk)?

Wonder if the kilo class subs are in good condition, or semi-floating death traps like the rest of their rustbuckets and becoming one-way subs when shaken a bit too hard?💥🤗
LNG ship Mulan also had a weird pattern for days south of Norway. Area is full of gas pipes to Europe.

To me, a hobby-sailor with very occasional big boat bridge time it seems extraordinary to get such interest from two Russian warships. As always, happy for input from other mariners! Fair gales.
A trifle underwhelming me thinks.

Just the beginning, Imo. What tactics can they take? Harm or seize? China playbook?
Hmm what are they looking for?
