I was on a couple of them, guanfacine for a while and then atomoxetine (Strattera). The former wasn't worth it but atomoxetine was fine, you might get decent results on it.
If I had to rate them with 0/10 being no meds, guanfacine is like 3-4/10, atomoxetine is 5-6/10. Stimulants for me are like 8-9/10, I've had very good luck with them.
Not trying to sway but just share information: They put me on Wellbutrin as a nonstimulant ADHD med & I'd literally only ever heard good things about it. It made me slip into actual psychosis & I didn't even realize it was the Wellbutrin at first because of how much it's hyped up
Wellbutrin gave me face rashes that scarred up after making my face feel weird for like 2 weeks. I know a lot of people it works for but for those it doesn't... it very much doesn't.
Strattera (atomoxetine) works for me bc I can’t take stims bc I used to and abused them but strattera after a couple of weeks now I feel like I’m on a really low adderal dose all the time so for me it’s much better
Takes time of course and you don’t get the intensity of stimulants
Most nonstimulant options aren't worth even thinking about, but just taking a short break from stimulant meds will probably fix most of your issues. That, and consistently taking your meds at the same time everyday. I can feel a missed dose for a little over a month.

My focus isn't quite as good, but it helps a bunch of the other symptoms way more
That said..
Both are rather strong drugs, so can definitely have gnarly side effects for some people
