If you take the person away and say person A has these policies and person B has these then pick the best one that is good advice IMO. Being loyal to the person no matter policies they have is why we are here right now

No one is saying blindly follow the person - it’s specifically about factoring the person into the decision. So if in the reverse someone on the left supported things I agree with but was a dictator on a war path to eliminate democracy…I would simply not vote for that person.

I think I read the first part of this as vote for the policies not the person instead of people lol I think that is where this got messed up
