The only reason I can think of is they changed something on the backend in the new version to make it better that's incompatible with the old version

Haven't used either so I can only speculate

@the-backdash.christmas Even then, I'd expect them to do some kind of database migration so they don't just lose the entire history of the website. But maybe their goal is to just clear out all of the old content unless someone manually migrates it so they can stealthily reduce their hosting costs.

@horny.dang.dog I doubt it. People have to register a new account on the beta website, so associating the accounts with one another would be next to impossible.
