You misunderstood. Moderates of course wouldn't vote for Trump... they aren't motivated to vote for the Dems running on the sole issue of Trump. Moderates want an actual plan for solving the world's problems. 3rd parties tend to offer a better message. - ThreadSky

Libertarians are the polar opposite of the Left on economics, and although socially liberal in terms of civil rights, they don't have a modern conception of social responsibility. They've never been more than a marginal party, despite having an outsized influence on conservative thought.

From my understanding they are minimalist when it comes to government. Less spending, control, etc. Universal sales tax with no income tax. That sort of vibe.

But yes they don't feel very organized nor unified.
