Ch.2 encourages Dashing much more, so it was finally time to balance it.
Buffed the boost, reduced the cooldown, and now there's a simple "stamina" meter to control it. Spam it when needed, but not forever. Pips recharge quickly, and even faster if you hold still.

also what about the fact that there is redundancy between the dash and the slide?
I wouldn't consider them redundant personally - dash is quicker and offers more manual control, vs the slide which is more drawn out and locks your vector in, but shrinks your height massively allowing you to slip under many attacks
don't get me wrong, Cultic is the first ever game I did all achievements in and I loved it, but I genuinely never used the slide or the unlit dynamite toss or half the weapon features in combat
if I'm being honest, I didn't find the game's features particularly refined (I might just suck at them)
BUT the important ones such as basic shooting are so good they carry the whole experience for me
