I don't think an extension for Vim bindings can ever be good enough, I've tried the Vim extension, not sure how Vim Motions is different. There were bugs, like formatting & autofix on save merging with the previous history entry 😣 Eventually I realized that Zed was what I was looking for. - ThreadSky

Yeah i agree, did vim in the past, still using it when in the terminal somewhere. For local dev, i started to use VSCode years ago, and now i feel that i, even though i am using a lot of keyboard shortcuts already,i would be faster and would be more comfortable being able to do most with my keyboard

Having said that, i thought "maybe i should slowly start migrating back to vim, and start with vim motions in vscode" :D

I was kind of in the same boat, I also often use it in my terminal and miss the effectiveness of the bindings, but raw Vim was a bit too difficult for me. The Vim extension felt like home, but the limitations started to become annoying… I hope you manage to find your sweet spot!

Oh wait, your thought was to go back to Neovim completely! Ah, interesting. I would miss too much 😅 I'm like those people brought from the tribes that has been living in the city and now doesn't want to go back to the tribes 😄
