After this hockey death I’m really starting to pull back on my enthusiasm for most sports. I don’t want to see someone die for my entertainment. NFL, NHL, F1…it’s a problem for me morally.

Out of all of those, Formula One carries the lowest risk of death and serious injuries. I'm 32 and there have only been two deaths in the sport in my entire lifetime.
Sports can be dangerous, but remember that all the athletes involved fully know the risks.
The community and joy that sport can bring is AMAZING. Just watching replays where the crowd erupts when my teams make an amazing play fills me with joy. But I worry about supporting exploitation and death for profit (NFL & CTE)
That is part of sports. Every pro knows danger where they live in. And still take risk every time they put skates, helmet or racing glowes on. I’d say, if they are willing to take that risk for us, we can support it with ease.
That was true when studies where only on paper. Now days athletes have so much support and knowledge avaliable that they can’t keep leagues responsible for that. At least in my opinion.
