They are going to need to require entrance exams to even apply to colleges because the difference in the level of education provided by each state will vary so much.

there was a time when some TX students sued the state because they were not prepared for college and had to take remedial classes. Most colleges do have some placement tests. I had to take a remedial math and it was not fun. I do fine with math now but was unprepared for the test.
