People like you make me sick. This was not a fkng stunt. If you don’t realize the significance of this then you’re the problem and need to be weeded out.

I’m fine. Just tired of people who try to minimize an important act of defiance. Calling this a stunt is stupidity and sounds like something you would hear on Fox.
I think I understand who Booker is. Remember he voted for Marco Rubio just a few weeks ago, approving a Trump cabinet pick. Remember he takes a lot of money and is in bed with AIPAC. He’s a centrist and they are the best at losing elections when major change is needed.
I don’t think you need to die. I would never say that about anyone. I just wonder if you really want to win because surely you know Democrats cannot win without people who have a centrist view. Weeding out means trying to find out what your true agenda is. Now I know.
Centrism has failed us time and time again. Democrats never electrify their base. When Obama did, by pretending he wasn’t a centrist, then he let us down by being a centrist when he got in.
I mean that’s how I see it.
I could be wrong. But, just look at our patterns of success as the world burns.
I 100% get where you are coming from, but I would like to hear your reasoning as to why their statement is bad. It was an amazing act of defiance and it will hopefully spur his colleagues into action, but why is saying “keep it going and act on your symbolic defiance” is bad? We have momentum use it
Bcuz of who Booker has been his entire political career. That makes words like ‘stunt’ necessary. He voted for Rubio he is in bed w/ AIPAC. He is a centrist. He’s doing what Obama did & pretending to be some progressive warrior. He’s not. He’s like Schumer more than anything. We need new leadership.
Obama was elected twice and will probably go down in history as one of the better presidents with some major achievements. Unlike you, at least Bernie Sanders understands the big picture.
Wording. They didn't refer to it as symbolic defiance, they referred to it as a stunt. The wording was diminishing and demeaning, rather than encouraging the act to be used as a step rather than a single action. We need more "Yes, do this and more" and less "this was just a stunt, do more".
Okay. When Booker does something materially that David Blaine couldn’t do I’ll agree with that sentiment. I’m not patting someone on the back who was a big part of why we are here. Remember, he voted FOR some of Trump’s cabinet picks. That is not a man who fundamentally understands the moment.
Fair enough, I agree. Maybe just my cynicism (or whatever) but that word didn’t affect me like it does to others. I’m hoping it doesn’t turn out to just be a stunt, but yes I do agree “stunt” is less hopeful of a way to phrase it.
Agreed! Remember some people do things for clout or attention. Also remember not everyone has the same principals or morals or values. Some people look at the bigger picture versus all the details that create and change the bigger picture.

Maybe I don’t understand.
