I didn't get a PS2 until my teens in the early 2010s and I only had Scarface and Code Veronica without their cases at the time. The PS2 I had as a teen sadly is no more, but thankfully I still have my slim PS2.

I remember a worker at Blockbuster (Queen Street in Halifax, NS) being mad at me for having this in Fall 2000 as I only wanted it for Metal Gear Solid 2 (which came out a year later). I mean, I found it ignorant/petty of him for being angry re why I had a PlayStation Two.

I remember installing a HDD. Buying HD Loader. Then whenever I would rent games from blockbuster or take them out from the library. I could just load it the HDD and keep it.

It also helped b/c I had to flip my PS2 upside-down when using the disc drive to get it to read right.

One of my favorite things about the console is that you REALLY could see how they were able to improve graphics on it, almost moreso than any other console. The fact that these screenshots are from two games from the same series merely FIVE YEARS APART speaks volumes
