FOMO should never factor into the video games you decide to play.
If you're doing something because you feel like "everyone else is doing it" you're going to burn out.
Your hobby should be fun, it should make you feel happy, and ultimately what you play should be YOUR choice and yours alone.

I think FOMO should be discussed more. We're letting FOMO control our gaming time. We're speedrunning games just to stay in the conversation. It's no wonder why so many feel burned out all the time. Enjoy your games! Take appropriate time with each title.

I definitely pick up the FOMO, but focusing on what I'm enjoying at the moment makes the wait bearable. And there's no reason not to switch if its THAT interesting. We do have save buttons, thank the Dev Overlords 💜
Then again, I can't afford FOMO either. Not financially nor emotionally. 🤣
FOMO still sucks, though…especially when it develops into a feeling of exclusion that shouldn’t be there…
That said, I'm happy to go at my own beat and play the games I want at my own pace.
Absolutely a social media problem. 🔍
Just gotta enjoy the things you like at the speed that makes you happy and comfortable.
I will say that sometimes by the time I get to a title and LOVE it, it makes me sad that the fandom communities for them just... don't really exist anymore.
Glad to see a resurgance of love for Legend of Dragoon though!!
The FOMO I hate is the marketing for online games, and not getting cosmetics because you didn't play at a certain time. That's the FOMO I despise. It keeps me away from games as a service.
