Lisa Nowak had a pretty great career which is what made that whole thing extra insane. Naval/NASA career aside, she helped out the widower of one of the Columbia astronauts by doing the paperwork and taking care of his kids.
I meant to look her up right after I wrote that, but I got distracted for a bit.
There was a 2022 article in People magazine about her. Yes, she's definitely done more good than Elon. I'd forgotten her qualifications. It's sad that one extra crazy moment defines her. I hope her life is good now.
