Assuming the “they” is Trump/Musk, it’s probably because they are either dumb, or genuinely want to conquer Canada.

My question is now why they'd prefer a Tory minority or a Carney-led Liberal government, which is what this is getting them, rather than the Tory majority that looked locked in 30 days ago.
