At Scientific American, Alan Scherstuhl calls The Dispossessed—which will be released in a 50th anniversary edition next month—"inexhaustibly rich and wise."

I read _The Dispossessed_ for the first time a few years ago and loved it! Great writing, fascinating societies, interesting characters. And near the end, the protagonist gets to meet an Terran who offers their perspective as an outsider, which is something we don't always get in the Ekumen stories.
This and The Left Hand of Darkness quite genuinely helped further shape my world view. Astounding writing using a 20th century perspective on the world to create philosophy for the ages. So far beyond “do unto others…” and well into the “why” and the “how”. Bravery, clarity and profundity abound.
Thanks I’ve been looking for a new read, I loved Left Hand of Darkness and Wizards of Earthsea, they made such a huge impact on me. You’re one of the greats!
