I hate to point this out, but the involvement of America in Europe's security the past eight decades was an outlier in a history of "don't care, you guys are an ocean away from us".
Western leaning Europe must unite to defend itself. That means we must be self-sufficient in arms development, production and supply. We must also have a permanent integrated command structure for our joint defense. Perhaps this should include other NATO allies dissatisfied with US leadership.
No, this group and power here that might be the best thing he can do and I hope he gets it. I know it will make the US look weaker, but we are weaker because of the president that we have.
Countries investing in higher military spending as per GDP/ NATO should stop all USA military procurements for equipment and weapons. USA has been pushing every nation to beef up security spending. And most buy from USA
I'm not sure why they don't just kick us out of NATO. Maybe they're hoping Democrats will bring sanity some day. But we've seen what happens after four years of getting disease and inflation under control and having an economy that's the, "envy of the world". Maybe there is no going back for us.
To be honest, there are a lot of European voices that propose Ukraine in and the US out. I am not sure that will ever happen but it’s certainly a strong sentiment in Europe.
Don’t count on the United States for anything. Our government is being run by rabid squirrels. You owe us neither allegiance nor respect. We can no longer be trusted.

If the latter, then, no. If the former, you'll have to pass the physical first.
