Yeah, it seems like even just in the last few weeks 1/2 to 2/3 of the articles I'd like to read are paywalled. Never used to be like this. Gonna have to start looking elsewhere for news.

Like, I feel like they tried to position it as a "if we make this work, we won't have to sell your data" at the start but that veneer was very quickly stripped away to reveal a plain cash grab. Funny thing is that I'd happily pay for a physical paper subscription if it was available.
