Volkswagen should bring back the Beetle as an electric car and call it the Lightning Bug.

The existing classic would need to be converted.
I don't know if today's safety standards and planned obsolescence could be met ?
The original vans are an easier conversion.
and better in my opinion.
I do like your name idea though.

They have an electric bus. It's super cute! And super spendy.

The older ones
50s- 70s are a perfect canvas for
electrical motivation.
The new ones might
be cheaper ?
Converions aren't cheap. I seen a nice one on the
T V show
"Wheeler Dealers".
They converted a
Maserati bi turbo
known for a problematic engine.
It was the rocket it
always should have
been.

I just heard about that. As a kid, I always wanted a VW bus, but then I found out I was never able to master a manual transmission.

Those are hard to
shift when new and
harder when worn
out.
The clutch is easy to master.
Try a Japanese car
to learn on.
Their transmissions
shift like butter.
Don't ride the clutch. It's a hard
habit to break.
My sister drove with
a friend over 3k and
learned on the way,
all highway though.

It wasn't even on that. I've just got impossible coordination. That and could never remember shift patterns. Likely tied into my total inability at most sports as well.

I stalled the truck too
much to learn that
first day.
Then I learned on my motorcycle.
Trucks with worn out shifters are hard for anyone but the
owner.
I shifted my first car
thousands of times
before I had the chance to drive it,
waiting to turn of age.
England would be a challenge.
Good luck🏁
