I would love to have a computer like this for the older D&D games. playing BG1, Icewind Dale, old Neverwinter Nights on this bad boy would be an amazing experience!
I would also say that it's okay to play the second without finishing the first. Many folks did, and you don't need to beat the first to understand what happens in the second, really.
Yeah but I always start the first but never finish it cuz I get distracted. I always have fun and learn something new about the game but when I get to baldurs gate I don’t go very far past it :/

As for class, I’ve played the game as all classes and mostly I just think of which companions I want to take and base it around them. BG1 has a pretty decent selection of companions to fill the slots in your party no matter what class you choose. Depends on who you want to bring along!
Yes, I think the game naturally slows down and loses focus a bit at Baldur’s Gate. There’s a few different reasons I think this happens, but I initially used to just get to here and then charge through the main quest to the end. Now I take it a bit slower and see more of the city in my playthroughs.
Holy macaroni, this brought back a lot of good memories from my childhood. Still one of my favorite games of all time. Thanks for sharing this, it brought a smile to my face 🙂
I also loved Warcraft 2, and the original Diablo because of all of the randomly generated maps and drops. The ridiculously long names of certain gear was also great.
Always loved how the first playthrough was fucking brutal. Since the enemies didn't respawn you had to back up your character and start over to get past those bastard bosses like The Butcher.

btw the german synchronization is kinda special and very funny 😂they also worked with accents.
