If two years went by and someone found my missing dog id ugly cry until I threw up. I’d give anything for another moment with my now gone pup (although he’s in a box on my dresser now)
Our beautiful rescue last year died after just four months out the blue but she changed our lives in those handful of weeks. So the notion someone wouldn’t give a ten year old cat a home makes me so angry. their life is more important than the heartbreak you’ll feel when they pass
There’s no point in my life I haven’t had a pet, cat or dog, and every single one has been a rescue.
It takes a lot of extra careful patience because of the trauma and trust issues. But even if they never fully come around, and least they were safe in the end.
apparently he’s doing “badly” at the shelter and i was like JUST LET ME TAKE HIM already what is wrong with you 😭 like no one ever wants a senior cat and ive been chasing for the last week to take him
It’s true tho most senior cats don’t get adopted and are just euthanized, you think they would JUMP at the opportunity to actually adopt one out.
Everyone wants the kittens and puppies and walks right past the older pets. They still got so much love to give!
I want to get into fostering
