It first hit me in the late 90s, before prequels, when all we had were SW books and comics. We were reminiscing about the films when my friend's nephew said, "What's Star Wars?"... It hit us that there was an entire new generation that never saw it.

Man I remember that bittersweet feeling in 1983 thinking “this is the end”-then having it again when ROTS came out. We are spoilt and I’m still in awe of it. Star Wars is like pizza and sex-even when its bad, its still STAR WARS!!!!!

I still credit USA and the Sci-Fi Channel with lighting a spark in the dark times. Their holiday airings of the OT really made Star Wars relevant in the schoolyard again. ❤️

Totally. USA would air the trilogy all Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. And the Sci-Fi Channel would do the same around three other times a year. Gods bless Bonnie Hammer.

There's always some Star Wars after some years.
But then there's no Star Wars that is Peaceful without controversy & toxic fans.
There SHOULD be more PEACEFUL SW, but becoz no matter what you create, there will always be some fans who hate it.
Solution: Lucasfilm stop care about Toxic Fans boycott😎

Luke Skywalker ESB fans
Andor fans
Mando fans
Ahsoka fans
Yes, Acotyle fans

& sequel Reylo fans.
Toxicity won't disappear even if you serve just One Fandom. Learn from Koreans how they won international fans even while Toxic fans exist with them.

I WAS BORN INTO THAT TIME!! Star Wars had long been over by the time I discovered it. I will forever remember the raw joy I felt as a kid when Lucas said he was coming back to make the prequels. It's a core memory. I could never have imagine all the Star Wars I'd live to see. (,:

I remember slowly seeing the Kenner line disappear from the toy aisle. I was still a Star Wars fan but there was nothing to celebrate.
The amount of joy when I saw the Dark Empire comic being offered I Previews, I still remember the excitement.
