I appreciate the implicit acceptance of the bros canonically being in their 20s i.e. being young adults! I always see some people getting confused when that fact is brought up, presumably because of early US mario media depicting him as middle-aged. See, THIS is middle-aged Mario.
I have to admit, their base designs doesnt really scream 20's. But playing with the canon age I wanted to see if I could depict them as middle age. We've seen plenty of art of them being old but I rarely see them depicted in this mid-age range. It was a fun lil experiment for sure :).
