Whew. I'm gonna listen to it, but I'm struggling to imagine an effective argument for health insurance as a value-add. At a technical level, it just... isn't.
Also, props to you @espiers.bsky.social for standing your ground on the healthcare topic. I suggest audiences would benefit from a less nuanced moral discussion where the system as a whole is put on trial.
Felix going particularly hard on the shilling this week :|
I understand the mixed feelings about the internet's response but can we acknowledge the reality of an escalating, even if not intentional (dubious) class war?
I'm a therapist that specializes in transgender care in Idaho. Insurance providers are absolutely an enemy for many of the folx I see, preventing access to care that is life-saving. Why on earth should we care about the lives of those with power who refuse to use it in a way that uplifts?
I wonder if any of these execs who don't care to be known as rent seeking leeches ever experimented by trying to survive on their own insurance policies? With out of pocket costs adjusted upward in line w/ their own inflated salaries, of course. My guess: they'd stroke out.
Re: bright headlights. Color temperature also plays a role, white LEDs provide plenty of options for flavor of white, lots of headlights are "welding arc is great!". It's a problem for bike headlights too, there is flashing/steady/pulsing discourse, also "StVZO" beam shaping.

Also, come on Felix. Let’s stop pretending this isn’t a cabal of profiteering middleman board rooms extracting profit and adding zero value.
