Americans have been either booing or ignoring & talking through the Canadian anthem for years though. Nothing new there 🙃
What’s new for 🇺🇸s is noticing 🇨🇦s… and being shocked that they aren’t being the polite/easy to ignore neighbour for once and it’s pissing them off BIG TIME.

There are more US citizens who are booing the US National Anthem than there currently are Canadians ... but we still appreciate your help and we stand with you against tyranny (i.e. our current "government").
yes; and I say this as a grad student and a hockey fan - if there is a venn diagram of intelligence/not Trump supporters and hockey fans, the middle is likely not as large of an overlap as one would like 😬
