Let's stop blaming vaccines and shaming parents for using them to protect their children.

Autism occurs naturally, it is likely heritable. And it is a difference, not a deficiency. It does not need to be "cured."

Yes, as I understand it, if the mother is infected with a common virus while pregnant then she has a much greater chance of having an autistic child. More work needs to be done to prove the connection of course.

My whole extended family and the families they married into. Unfortunately being autistic or ADHD doesn’t prevent internalized ableism or extremely toxic defense mechanisms. Which is why I had to learn to detach with compassion.
