With the note that we have pretty solid non-generative transcription software that works very well, and archives the original recording in case it needs to be checked.

Generative transcription is a fucking disaster that has a 75% error rate, is racist AF, and usually deletes the original recording.

I’m not opposed to algorithms! A lot of stuff branded as “AI” can help lawyers: transcription software, OCR for scans, search engines, you name it. But don’t let it write your briefs and motions—even if it’s just a first draft.
