Remember, Social Security is not technically part of the budget deficit. It is designed to be self supporting. Republicans just kept “borrowing” from it to pay for wars in Iraq, etc. while giving tax cuts to the rich.
Now they don’t want to pay it back.

They will try to cut SNAP, Medicaid, Social Security, and Head Start, hoping the deluge will overwhelm any objections. We have to make sure we’re prepared to respond in defense of our collective well-being.
