Perhaps if - each morning - we all watched this three and a half minute beautiful meditation on our own insane insignificance, everything would feel so much better. https://youtu.be/GO5FwsblpT8?si=bNNJNufPcqo1YRcl

I have really got into astronomy over the last decade. Carl Sagen started my interest as a kid watching 'cosmos'. The distances in the universe are hard to comprehend and the sheer miracle of coincidences that have allowed us to evolve and contemplate our existence never cease to inspire awe.
That was... Well, I'm a little lost for words. The second time I watched it, I set the playback speed to 0.25. Everything about it is then so much better, including the music, which becomes far more Brian Eno and a lot less Richard Clayderman. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for posting this. Really needed Sagan’s inspiring/humbling monologue at the moment, especially after having spent far too much time rummaging around in the cesspit of “Truth” Social marvelling at the stark raving insanity prevalent over there. This was a much needed antidote. 👏
