I started making games in Klik & Play, The Games Factory, and Multimedia Fusion, before moving on to Unity
Now making my last Unity game, after which I'm either going for Monogame or just SDL3. Funny thing is, the engine I'll make for my future games will probably be closer to Clickteam than Unity

I wasn't X)
I'm still a bit torn though, I've pretty much settled on either Monogame or just SDL3 with C# bindings, but time will tell which one I'll go for :)
I got really good writing collision/movement logic MMF2's fastloop system, and I've never capitalized on that knowledge since I moved to Unity. I'm gonna return to that.
I think I'm in a good place to do it. I know my needs, but I'm pragmatic so I won't stall forever trying to create the "perfect" engine.
Plus utilizing SDL3, the complexity of it won't remotely compare to my adaptive music software anyway, so I've already done something harder.
The system for tracking, finding, organizing entities, and propagating various draw/physics calls is already there :)
