In other words, I, as someone who has never been to an anime convention, have an urge to cosplay my own OC at an anime convention. This is fine?

Sometimes I have this craving to figure out how to cosplay as Yuki (Duke form… cardigan form is too easy). But damn do I not have a clue on where to start.
