Just thinking about how when everyone was trying to get me to watch Fleabag, I kept having to come up with dodges for the real reason I was uninterested, which is that the thought of finding a Catholic priest sexy is just unfathomably gross to me.

I also don't know what being a Catholic priest in England entails but he was written more like a vicar? I don't know of any priests from my own churchgoing life that were ever so available to just hang out with parishioners like Hot Priest was.
ok I have been biting my tongue for years because I watched and enjoyed most of the show, but didn’t find their relationship “forbidden sexy” but “charming man in position of power takes advantage of emotionally unstable woman”
what esp bothered me was she starts off coming onto him as an atheist titillated by the wrongness of it, and he says no until she starts treating him like an actual priest/confessor, and then he reciprocates sexually. I’m not sure how intentional that was but I certainly didn’t find it romantic!
