So I learned from someone that this is actually not a bad strategy. Vineyards spend so much money designing branding that will attract people who will enjoy their wine and return to it. It doesn’t always work out obviously, but apparently choosing by label design isn’t as silly as it feels.
thinking about an article I read with someone recounting their friend, a famous wine critic, who said that she used the "zoological" method when selecting wine, i.e. picking out a bottle with an animal on the label
Beautiful label/bottle. I think a heat gun (or boiling water into the already heated empty bottle) will let you safely remove the label, if the bottle doesn't fit aesthetically.
If you try the boiling water route, just make sure you heat the bottle first. Your max temp tap water should be enough, as long as it's almost too hot to touch. And obviously try not to get the label wet.
If you want my unsolicited advice you should never buy a book by its cover. Same for wine. I like wine so I checked the Vivino app and it has really good ratings so you did not get it wrong in the end ah ah.
