it may backfire, but i respected their decision to move up for a player they clearly loved — especially if it meant sniping the patties.

i really like savaiinaea… I’m just scared of history repeating itself, even if he is 10x the player that liam is. we are the dolphins after all

I’m bringing up the last time they traded up for a guard — chris grier, specifically.

jonah was one of ‘my guys’, so I liked the pick, but that doesn’t mean we won’t look back in a few years and wonder wtf the dolphins were thinking… in fact, history suggests that’s EXACTLY what we’ll do.

He was. I believe they drafted him over Creed Humphrey (center) because of the ‘Premium Position’ valuation philosophy.

It’s cheaper to rent a Center or Guard and draft a Tackle.

PFF says left, but either way, you’re right. jonah at least has experience playing guard & admits that’s where he’s best suited. I just can’t forget the last time they moved up & had confidence in a lineman, even if it is like comparing apples to prunes.

At some point I’d love to hear a reliable source’s explanation on why Liam floundered instead of flourished. Coaching? Constant position changes? Skills? Desire?
