There is way too much concern about blocking Campbell, Anthony, and Mayer. The first two have clear paths to playing time this year, and Mayer has a clear path next year.
There is too much worry about Devers' defense, especially with Story and Bregman up the middle instead of a revolving door.

Campbell is more difficult - maybe 2B vs LHP with Bregman shifting to 3B and Devers DH.
A logjam of young talent at the break might serve us well.
-Campbell: Promoted 37 levels last year, played 19 games in AAA. Very reasonable to get him more time there.
-Anthony: Only 21, only played 35 games at AAA. He might be ready but more AAA time likely won't hurt.
-Mayer: hasn't reached AAA.
I was thinking a good chance he opts out, if not next year then the year after (only have to beat 40m)
sets bad precedent
Couple more years. Or to 1st depending on casas future
Vaughn Grissom?
