I struggle with this, because I feel like it opens a door for Russia or China to swoop in with a quid for quo arrangement that could hurt all of us. But I am tired of my state being treated like an ATM by people who can barely stand us.

New Orleans is a blue city who voted 85% Kamala. We gonna start splitting states up into blue and red cities? The rest of the state dogs us because of our crime rate but the state would completely sink without us. Sound familiar?

Imagine if the city was actually reborn after Katrina and there weren't 100k voters scattered across the country unable to afford to return. The state would have a different voting situation. Alas the city was never fully reborn and that was by design.
