My dad served with the Navy in NCIS in the early 50s. He hated Trump so much that he started compiling evidence of his criminal activities. By the time Dad died in 2022, he had a 3" thick paper file and thousands of online documents.
What is wrong with you in the US? I remember my parents recalling when the GIs arrived in their hometowns at the outset of WWII (Iβm from Italy). Was it all for nothing? What did they die for? Itβs so infuriating.
My father fought in WWII. He was a purple heart recipient. I'm saddened at how the United States is running blindly toward everything he fought against.
Father fought in WWII. And all 4 of his brothers. One of them is buried in the Philippines. All five are probably rolling over in their graves right now.
βοΈ My father was in the Invasion of Normandy.
Some of the bravest of the brave. He fought against #facism.
#WeThePeople will do it again. #WEHAVETHEPOWER
Both of my great grandpas served in the Army during WW2. One fought on Ohana Beach (Normandy D day), Battle of the Bulge, and Battle of Okinawa. Another was in Burma, helped with Stilwell Road construction.
My father was a bomber pilot in the US army Airforce. His brother with the Canadian army. Chasing Rommel in the dessert as he used to say. I was born in June 1945 on an army airforce base where my dad was then training the free French. The sacrifices they made to shut down fascism. Now this!!
Interesting how the fascists waited until most of that generation was gone to make their move. It's almost as if they knew that generation wouldn't have let things get to this point.
My dad was in the Army in Europe in WWII. Fudged his age a bit & in his words, "turned 18 sleeping in the mud on the Rhine". I could never disrespect him by not resisting these fascists today.
Yes, all his postings were stateside. He was still in high school when he joined, not long after Pearl Harbor. His brother fought in France. And I wasn't born til well after the war π
Mine did, and he sat as the gunner in the tail of an air force plane. He flew on D-Day, and he was one of a VERY few that came back from that fight that day. I WILL NOT SERVE THESE FASCISTS, and WE WILL TOPPLE THEM the same way our GRANDFATHERS did!
Your father is a hero.
Foxtrot Delta Tangoπ€£ Did you know you can buy tshirts that say that? I spent the afternoon shopping on Esty for anti-trump shirts.
Thank you. My father was a hero. Anyone who fights naziism any where any time is a hero. Never give up.
Nazi's were taken down in the 1940's and can be again.
My grandpa Jack caught in WWII and Korea. Every male member of my mom's family fought. I have a picture of him and 6 cousins in their uniforms. They signed up on the same day, together.
just sold my grandfather's m1 carbine folding stock, bayonette and scabbard, a bag to a gun shop here in phx. they called in the old man to buy the items, hehehe. my maternal grandfather fought in WW2, north Africa, Sicily, and Italy: my paternal grandfather, ww1, my dad, Korea, me peacetime, 7yrs.
My father did. My uncle was killed. Iβm glad theyβre both gone and not witnessing the destruction of the country they fought and died for. That country no longer exists.
My grandfather, who died before he met any of his grandchildren, fought in both WWI and WWII both. He was an immigrant that came from Russia and defended this nation to stop exactly what is happening now.
To those who had family member die in Pearl Harbor, the Navy honors them every time a ship goes past the USS Arizona. Every ship has an honor guard on deck to pay tribute to our shipmates.
The problem is that while our grandparents fought the fascists, they held many of the same social beliefs about race, or Judaism, or homosexuality. We need to address that too. This time no one gets left behind.
My dad was a Jewish heavy weapons mortar man in WWII. Antisemitism in the army was rampant. Even in training camp he was beaten up by a cook who didnβt want to serve a Jew.
My grandmother was a German war bride, my grandfather-
a World War II veteran, proudly serving his country in the 63rd Infantry Army Division β Expert Rifleman. He was a self-taught musician, who played saxophone with the Globetrotters 423rd AGF band during his time in the service #FuckNazis
My grandfather was too young for WWI but his brothers fought in that, then he was too old in WWII. My father turned 18 in August of β45 so he just missed WWII.
My FIL was active-duty Army (37yrs) N.Africa to Sicily to Monte Casino with Patton. Military liaison in charge of rebuilding infrastructure/economy in West Germany, then Korean War. Was still AD for Viet Nam, swore my husband in before he went. Involved in government lawsuit against Fred sr
Both my grandfathers and my grandmother fought fascists. My army nurse grandmother outranked my grandfather their whole marriage. They would all be appalled at our country today.
I have ancestors that fought in the American Revolution, the Civil War, World War II, and my brother-in-law who has since passed, fought communism in Vietnam and now this?
France (1940) & Burma-India (1941-45). He didn't talk about either much, but he was a little more vocal about his views on fascists and Nazis, which were consistent with your original post.
ποΈmy great grandfather and grandfather! And they absolutely would have been completely disgusting with the American people to allow this piece of shit back in the white house!!!!
Grandfather World War I, uncle World War II& Korean War & my second cousin died in a sub off of Honshu, Japan in WWII that was sunk by depth charge⦠the rest of my family members were in the Korean war.
Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII (Air Force and Navy). My father in Vietnam (USMC for 10 years) and then Army for 18 years. I fought in Desert Storm in the Army (1st Air Cav). My daughter presently serves in the U.S. Navy.
My grandfather was wounded in battle and received a purple heart.
I have a lot of his papers from then. We were going through them recently, after my dad (a Korean War veteran) passed away at the end of February. ππ’ That's when I came across my grandpa's patch.
My grandfather came here from Germany to get away from Naziβs. He came by himself as a teenager all alone. He didnβt fight but he lost his whole family, my ancestors.
Fuck Naziβs so hard!
In addition:
2 were killed in auschwitz and 1 in local nazi prison.
One survived medical experiments and came back a broken man.
One was a βhousewifeβ for nazis working in a Auschwitz. π€±π»
Thatβs my family story. ππ
My father in-law fought in the Battle of the Bulge under General Patton. He was a gunner in a tank destroyer - brought home a rifle and pistol off of dead Nazis. We have them displayed in our den. A hero - we canβt let him down!
My father fought in WW2 and he would be disgusted by what is happening. Canadian so we were in long before the US. So he wouldn't be surprised but definitely disgusted.
My father did! (I was adopted. He fought at the end of the war. But I have always been proud of his service. Heβs been gone for 20 years now. As much as I miss him, Iβm glad heβs not here to witness this moment in American history.
My grandfather father, uncle, and aunt all served in the Royal Navy, and my grandmother and another aunt drove ambulances behind enemy lines, all in WW2. My grandfather served in WW1.
My family has had someone in every war since coming to the US many generations ago. Some did not return. They went so we would not have it here. It was talked about at the dinner table often. You can hate war and still do your duty to country for the good of the whole. My family is still serving. π
My father. He would be sooo pissed if he were alive. Spent 2 years in the Philippines fighting and 6 months in the hospital with malaria and appendicitis, lost a ton of weight, was never upset about having given so much for the war. And now these peopleβ¦.geez.
My father designed aircraft carrier fighter planes for the Navy right out of college, ink not even dry on the diploma. 1942 on. Ended his career as the technical director in the spy satellites division. Government worker who worked like a dog all his life for America.

Both of them.
My grandmothers were doing their thing here, as well.
My grandfather was part of The Big Red One in WWII.
I just recently had his patch out, showing it to his great-great grandchildren. π
